Eric Unplugged
Hello Friends, Welcome to my webpage and thanks for visiting. My name is Eric Gulbrandsen. I've been loving music for a very long time. My first memory is wearing headphones listeing to my sister's album on my dad's stereo system. A nice deep crackle of vinyl. WHAMMMMMM! The first chord of A Hard Days Night. I was 3 years old. I was so mesmorized by their sound. I didn't know what harmonies were, how a guitar was tuned or anything to do with music. But at age 3, I knew one thing. I was moved.
I remember when I was young when my sisters took accordion lessons. They hated it. When they were done practicing, I would help myself to the smallest accordian and tried to play by ear, what they were practicing.
My dad would always bring home albums. Country to the sorts of Marty Robbins, Johnny Cash and many more. Then Herb Alpbert and the Tiujana Brass. OMG - I loved them. The Lovin' Spoonfull, The Monkees, Jonathan Edwards, Joan Baez.... My very own youtube selections....Really...What memories.
My start with guitars? My dad showed me "A" "D" "E" "B7" and "E" chords. Then I just had to learn Beatles, Back Sabbath and Led Zepplin....
That was my start in life....Filled with music.......
Why am I called Eric Unplugged?
The domain was available and I couldn't think of anything else.
But why do I have a lot of cables?
So I can plug my guitar and microphone into my sound system. Which also need s to be plugged in..
